- I recently acquired what I hoped was the best voice/fax/data modem
- on the market. However, on installation - I was immediately faced
- with several (insurmountable ?) problems.
-
- I use Win95, so I was looking forward to an optimal plug n play
- hardware installation. First problem. It was configured with
- a hardware conflict ! So, I resorted to jumpers.
-
- 1. What are the available com/irq settings ?
- (eg is com 3 irq 5 permitted ?)
-
- 2. How do I ensure Quicklink identifies my Soundblaster for the
- purposes of message recording/playing ?
-
- 3. Is there a Win95 driver for this modem ?
- (On plug n play installation, Win95 asks for one)
-
- 4. Is any software available that will allow a voice/fax OR data
- connection while the modem is in receive mode ?
- (As far as I can see, Quicklink only allows voice/fax or fax/data.
- Cheyenne Bitware allows voice/fax/data, but does not recognise
- my Vi modem !)
-
- 5. Is there a release of Cheyenne Bitware that supports USR Vi modems?
-

-
- Any comments would be greatly appreciated
